The Cornwater Club Charity Shop is expanding its service to include collection of donated furniture, through a partnership with the Peaceful Trust charity.
The charity shop sells a variety of high quality second hand goods. However, due to limited space the shop does not have the facility to
handle large items. The new partnership with the Peaceful Trust will now enable the shop to offer the free collection of large pieces of
furniture from donors in Mansfield and the surrounding areas including Blidworth and Ravenshead. This can be arranged by ringing the Cornwater Club Charity Shop on 01623 656133.
Peter Rose, Cornwater Club Chairman, said: "We are very excited to be working with the Peaceful Trust in this way. It enables us to extend the range of donated goods we can handle, helping the local people and the environment by recycling these items and also contributing to the sustainability of the Cornwater Club"
As a gesture of goodwill the Peaceful Trust has donated £1000 to the Cornwater Club; in return the Trust will collect and sell the furniture
in their own larger shops. As the service grows the Trust will continue to make donations to the Cornwater Club. Charlene Betts from the Peaceful Trust said "The Cornwater Club plays an important role in the community and this furniture project gives both charities
an excellent opportunity to work together; we hope the project will be a great
