Volunteers are vital to our success, we could not achieve as much as we do without them.
We have many volunteers who work in the Cornwater Club Charity Shop supporting the full time manager, Sharon Baum.
Volunteering in the shop is good fun and it's a great way to meet new people and learn new skills.
Our shop volunteers help in all areas of the shop. They help sort the goods that come into the shop and prepare them for sale. Textile items all need pricing and steaming; ornaments and household items of this nature just need pricing. All these activities take place in the stock handling room. Volunteers also work on the till in the front of the shop, and serve customers - the shop is a fun, lively environment to work in.
Most of our volunteers work a morning or afternoon shift, either once a week or once a fortnight, but hours are flexible to suit you.
If you like the idea of volunteering but are not sure if it is for you, why not come and have a try and see what you think. If you don't like it, don't worry, but we feel sure you will.
To volunteer please contact Sharon Baum, Shop Manager on 01623 656133 or call into the shop on Queen Street, Mansfield
