Members Living in Ravenshead, Blidworth and Rainworth are collected from their homes by a Ravenshead Community Transport minibus. Our volunteer escorts accompany members on the bus to and from their homes. The buses have wheelchair access for those members who need it.
There is a small charge for this service.
For members who live outside the catchment for Ravenshead Community Transport there are a number of voluntary car schemes available. You will need to contact them directly and check availability.
Members living in Ashfield can directly access the local community transport scheme provided by "Our Centre" in Kirkby in Ashfield. This is a service provided by volunteer drivers using their own vehicles, for people in the community who have difficultly accessing, or are unble to use, public transport.
Members living in Newark and Sherwood can use the Door2Door Service. This helps people in the community who have difficulty accessing affordable transport. The service is available to anyone over 60 or with a disability, either permanently or temporarily living in the Newark and Sherwood District. The service is provided by volunteer drivers who have their own cars and must provide detailed information and undergo checks.
Members who live in other areas of Nottinghamshire are very welcome to attend the club, however, at this time we are unable to offer transport. They must therefore make their own transport arrangements.
